was founded in June 2003 with the purpose of developing computer vision
applications to be made available to the general public. Its founders
combine state-of-the-art backgrounds in computational vision,
psychophysics of appearance, technology development, software
integration, engineering, marketing and business administration. The founders all worked together in their former computer vision business, Cortex Machina, between 1995 and 2003. This team has experience in starting up a technology company from concept to financing, bringing a product from development to market, and concluding strategic alliances and selling the company. Thomas Jelonek
Founder of Cortex Machina and MoreIdeas, Thomas has over 12 years of
experience in driving cutting edge technologies. Thomas’ ability and
achievements consist of developing new technologies and integrating
technology management with marketing deployment. At Cortex Machina, he
fulfilled the positions of Executive Vice President and after the
acquisition of Cortex Machina by Cynovad, Vice President responsible
for profit and loss of the Shadescan Business Unit.
René Saint-Pierre Co-founder of MoreIdeas,
René brings 25 years of international experience in marketing and
business development for new technologies and emerging markets. At
Cortex Machina, René was VP Marketing & Business Development and
acted as market strategist and technology evangelist. His ability to
create new business models and conclude strategic alliances lead to
achieving No.1 position in targeted markets. After the acquisition of
Cortex Machina, he fulfilled the position of Senior VP Marketing &
Sales of the merged group.
